The Society is so lucky to have in its possession a concise history from its foundation in 1909 to the present day. We treasure the documentation written in the very first MINUTE BOOK which gives us an insight into the people who formed and managed the group on a day to day basis.

In March 1989 the society, staged the musical Hans Andersen at what was the Gaumont Theatre.

The society, known then as DAOS, was proud to present its first production at Cast theatre, 'The Sound of Music', in March 2014 to 5 sell out performances.
