Doncaster Stage Productions is proud to have a strong membership. We’re lucky to have both a solid, core membership as well as fluid members, who come back to us time and time again to perform with us for different shows. We’re a tight knit bunch and we think of ourselves as a family, although in some cases, this is actually true.
We’re a multidisciplined company and our production team always make perfect use of every one of our cast members; our strong choral voices, natural comedians, talented dancers, confident soloists, character actors and everyone else in between.

Over 110 years of history.
On 4th February 1909 a group of enthusiasts interested in amateur theatre met at the Glynn Hotel, Doncaster and founded the Doncaster Amateur Operatic Society. A year later, from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th January 1910 the society staged it’s first performance, Gilbert & Sullivan’s opera “The Mikado” under the musical directorship of Mr. Wilfrid Sanderson, a well known musician and composer of the day.
