The Executive Committee.
Claire Rowley.
Chair.
Claire, affectionately known as our Clairewoman, first joined DSP at age 11 in 1996 for Annie Get Your Gun and then again at 16 and has been a member ever since. She has been a member of the committee for many years and became acting chair when the previous chair, Tony Powell, stood down in 2018.
Janet Foster.
Vice Chair.
Janet juggles her role working with Schools across Doncaster with her enjoyment of singing and performing. She has been an active member of the society since 1980 and has since appeared in too many shows to count! Janet was instrumental in aiding DSP take the steps to gaining charitable status in 2020.
Frances Lister.
Secretary.
Frances is our resident DSP historian and has been a member of the Society since 1973, playing numerous character roles in countless productions over the years. She is proud to hold the office of Secretary, Social Chair and Ticket Secretary. Frances helps keeps the society running, organising various aspects of the society’s affairs and files.
Beth Booth.
Treasurer.
Beth joined Doncaster Stage Productions in 2019 for her role as Dance Captain in Our House. In 2020, Beth joined the committee and brings her professional experience to her role as treasurer, as well as her experience being both Social Secretary and President of Newcastle University’s Dance society.
Anne Gooch.
Assistant Treasurer.
Anne has the very important task of being part of the team that look after the finances for DSP, a role she has enjoyed for the past couple of years. She joined DSP 12 years ago, with many years performing experience under her belt, and has played various roles in productions since then.
Amy Louise Coates.
Assistant Secretary.
Amy is our legal brain and spreadsheet queen. She joined DSP for the 2016 production of ‘9 to 5’ and has since made the leap from performing to directing. In 2019, Amy made her directorial debut for the production of Legally Blonde and has since been the director for our productions of Our House and Grease.
Samantha Scott.
Publicity Manager.
Sam joined DSP in 2014, playing the role of a Corny Collins kid in our production of Hairspray in 2015, and has since starred in Grease and Footloose. Sam has been on the committee since 2020, taking on the role of Publicity Manager from 2022.
Hayley Shay.
Hayley joined to the committee in 2020 and brings her vast knowledge and professional experience to the team. She teaches singing and drama, training the next stars in Musical Theatre and LCM examinations. She has been the MD for a number of different shows including Les Miserables Student Edition and Chicago High School Edition.
Karen Powell.
Karen has enjoyed many years performing on the stage with many local societies including DSP, Maltby MTC, DTC and Phoenix MTC. She is a much valued member of our committee and is always prepared with snacks and wine and laughs. She is always willing to help out, offer sage advice and has held many important committee roles in the past.
Tony Powell.
Tony has been active member of Doncaster Stage Productions for many years and has previously served as Chairman. Tony brings a huge amount of practical knowledge and industry expertise to the society as our stage manager and backstage crew guru.
Emily Summerill.
Emily first appeared on stage with DSP as a Harvard Law student in Legally Blonde in 2019. A theatre enthusiast, Emily loves watching and performing in shows. She joined our committee in 2021, bringing enthusiasm, a fresh perspective and practical, theatrical knowledge.
Lyn Easton.
Lyn has brought her business knowledge and expertise to the society. Officially known as “Mum’s friend Lyn”, she joined Doncaster Stage Productions in 2023 for our production of Grease, playing the role of Miss Lynch.
Stephen Snaith.
Stephen has been part of DSP for over ten years, and has taken on the role of Choreographer for our most recent productions. Stephen has worked professionally for Disneyland, Carnival Cruise Lines, Costa Cruises and Princess Cruise Lines, so brings a wealth of professional expertise and knowledge to our committee.
Katie Waddington.
Katie is our most recent member of the DSP committee. Katie joined the society in 2023 for our production of Calendar Girls.
