Doncaster Stage Productions is proud to have a strong membership. We’re lucky to have both a solid, core membership as well as fluid members, who come back to us time and time again to perform with us for different shows. We’re a tight knit bunch and we think of ourselves as a family, although in some cases, this is actually true.
We’re a multidisciplined company and our production team always make perfect use of every one of our cast members; our strong choral voices, natural comedians, talented dancers, confident soloists, character actors and everyone else in between.

At Doncaster Stage Productions, we pride ourselves on producing top quality shows, year after year. We’re proud to have worked with the amazing local musical directors, musicians, directors and choreographers who make up, and support, our production team.
Over 110 years of history.
On 4th February 1909 a group of enthusiasts interested in amateur theatre met at the Glynn Hotel, Doncaster and founded the Doncaster Amateur Operatic Society. A year later, from Monday 10th to Saturday 15th January 1910 the society staged it’s first performance, Gilbert & Sullivan’s opera “The Mikado” under the musical directorship of Mr. Wilfrid Sanderson, a well known musician and composer of the day.
